With the JLPT done, it's time to start moving in some real changes into the beta version of the site. There's 2 big and many small changes:
Navigation changes- I've changed (and simplified) the navigation structure of the site to make everything more accessible, easier to access, and easier to update with the planned additions to the site.
The biggest change to this is the removal of the study resources on the site. They can now be accessed only in the areas of the site that actually deal with them: the grammar and quiz sections.

Quiz setup - I've rebuild the quiz setup pages; I believe these are much more straight-forward and easier to use. No quiz options have been removed.

Smaller changes:

• genki points link available next to username
• users can make suggestions for questions in the はなしましょう section.
• the site now ties your 'kanji history' (please see quiz settings) to all kanji that appears in quizzes and vocab lists. This should help you out when studying across different sets of materials.
• quiz settting - make multiple-choice answers automatically appear
• the quiz engine is much more forgiving with certain typed-in answers, and will let you know if you make certain common typos (using a small ょ instead of a large よ) in answers.
• The site does a better job of reporting when you have new messages.
• Bug fixed that messed up the editing of messages.
• More kanji quizzes will show information on additional kanji used in a question.
• Grammar - the main grammar page has been altered a bit to make sentences more readable.

beta renshuu.org - you can participate in the beta program by going here - help me test new versions of the site, and see all the cool stuff before everyone else! Important: all the 'renshuu pro' kanji quizzes will be moved here, and out of the main site.

New pages/services:

• Personal/Genki points history: - a simple history of your genki points.
• Personal/Messages: get automatic updates from the site related to your account, sentences, etc.
• Community/Quiz leaders: the most active users on the site, ranked in different sections.
• Community/Let's talk: practice your Japanese with weekly topics.
• Community/Genki Points: genki point leaders and a list of all the ways to get genki points.

Genki points: you now can get genki points by studying with the site, by helping with English translation (see the genki central page) and by participating in Let's chat..

Fixes/Improvements

• Finish page for quizzes cleaned up a bit.
• Better time-zone handling and tie-in to schedules.
• Fixed problems with not being able to change your password on the profile page.
• Some mastery-based kanji quizzes weren't loading up when classic question types were chosen.

Mastery schedules

• There is now a setting for the max number of terms that can be introduced in a week.
• More explanation given when you have 'finished' studying your schedule.
• Simplified the schedule menu in the menu bar.

Grammar Library

• JLPT 3 Grammar list finished (except for one), JLPT 4 started. Will gradually build up JLPT 1,2 and 4 together.
• New categories for seeing JLPT grammar.
• Cleaner grammar pages, related grammar list started (not finished yet)
• 'My sentences' split off into a separate tab for easier viewing.
• Personal completion markers for writing sentences.
